WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE HOSTING THE UKRANIAN BALLET'S YOUTH NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS!

 

AUDITIONS:

• AUDITIONS BEGIN: 5:00pm

• AUDITIONS CONLUDE: 6:30pm - 7:30pm (younger dancers may be done earlier.  We will inform parents of pick up time at drop off)

• This is an amazing opportunity our studio has been chosen for.  Studio VIA dancers will be performing along side the Ukranian Ballet's dancers at the Riverside Theater downtown Milwaukee on November 28th in the full production of the Nutcracker.  Auditions are open to dancers from other studios as well.

• You do not need to be a competitive dancer to audition.  Many of the younger roles are simpler choreography meant for their age.  

 

RESULTS & THIS WEEKENDS REHEARSALS

• After auditions, dancers will be told their auditions results and roles.  Each role will rehearse for about 30 minutes on Saturday September 23rd to learn their choreography.  Some dancers may have 2 roles depending on their age.  Below are the times for the rehearsal blocks for this weekend

• SATURDAY: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

OCTOBER & NOVEMBER

• Most Sundays in October - November dancers will rehearse with Ms Kim, Ms Kimi and Ms Shann.  All rehearsals will be from 11am - 3pm but each role will only be rehearsing for 20 - 30 minutes.  A detailed schedule will be sent out after auditions.  There is one full group dress rehearsal at Studio VIA on Monday November 27th.

PERFORMANCE

• Dancers cast in the Nutcracker will have to miss school on Tuesday November 28th.  They will join the Ukranian Ballet downtown at the Riverside Theater for a dress rehearsal.  Dancers will be fed on site and then perform that evening.  All Studio VIA classes are canceled on Tuesday November 28th so dancers can attend the performance!
